Maintenance Technician

Description Morrow Apartments | St. Paul, MN| Full-time, on-site $30 - $33 per hour + commissions | Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, plus on-call rotation Roundhouse is hiring a Maintenance Technician at Morrow Apartments. You'll handle hands-on repairs across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and pool systems, and keep the property in great shape for the residents who call it home. What you'll own Complete repairs across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and pool and spa systems Respond quickly to work orders and see each one through to a high-quality finish Walk the property to catch issues early and keep it compliant with safety and health codes Keep grounds, building exteriors, and common areas clean, functional, and looking sharp Partner with the Maintenance Supervisor to prioritize tasks, approve purchases, and coordinate vendors Keep work orders current in maintenance software, including materials, hours, and completion status Take your turn in the after-hours emergency on-call rotation and help with snow and ice removal Follow all safety procedures in the Employee Handbook, SOPs, OSHA standards, and on-equipment labels What you bring High school diploma or equivalent 1+ year of general maintenance and repair experience Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, pool, and carpentry systems Strong communication skills and a real customer-service mindset A valid driver's license and reliable transportation The ability to work independently and as part of a team Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and property management software The ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, stand and walk for long periods, climb ladders, and work outdoors in all weather A leg up if you have Trade school or technical certification CPO (Certified Pool Operator) certification Onsite multifamily or apartment maintenance experience Experience with Yardi Voyager, RentCafe, AIRM, LEO, Appwork, or similar maintenance software Spanish fluency Tools you'll bring We supply power tools and larger equipment. You'll provide and maintain a basic set of hand tools, on hand within 30 days of your start date: 10\" and 6\" crescent wrenches, 9.5\" and 6.5\" channel lock pliers, needle-nose pliers, Phillips and flathead screwdrivers, nut driver set, Allen wrench set, socket wrench set, wire crimping tool with cutters, razor knife, hammer, putty knife, tape measure, thermometer, non-contact voltage tester, GFCI tester, multimeter, drill, and drill bits.
