CT Scan Tech - Up to $20,000 Sign On Bonus

Eligible for up to $20,000 Sign On Bonus Summary Under general supervision of the CT Manager, Lead CT Technologists, and the Imaging Coordinator, a Lead CT Technologist operates a CT scanner and related equipment to produce radiographs of any designated anatomical area for geriatric, adult, and pediatric patients. The role fosters patient and family centered care and depends on continuous learning and collaboration within the department. Responsibilities Perform complex CT procedures in a busy radiology department. Assure quality results and maintain imaging standards. Train fellow students and staff in imaging procedures and techniques. Collaborate with support staff for patient transport and ancillary duties. Minimum Qualifications Basic Knowledge Must hold a Rhode Island state radiology license and CT supplemental license from the Department of Health. Must be registered and in good standing with the American Registry of Radiological Technology (ARRT). Must hold a current CPR certification from the American Heart Association and BLS for Healthcare Providers. Two years of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology and registration through the ARRT. Experience Six months of experience as a Radiologic Technologist in a hospital radiology department. Six months of specialized training in the operation of a CT scanner. Work Environment and Physical Requirements The position is located in the CT Scan area or satellite areas with minimal noise, dust, or temperature discomfort. Exposure to radiation is minimal when safety procedures are followed. Long periods of standing, walking, pushing portable equipment, and lifting and positioning patients are required. Pay Range $39.56-$65.28 per hour Shift Night days: 12‑hour overnight shifts.
