Cook | Shawarma House - Ocean Beach, San Diego Shawarma House is a busy, locally owned Mediterranean quick-service restaurant in Ocean Beach. We're hiring a reliable Cook for weekend night coverage-someone who can execute our food consistently, keep their station organized, and work smoothly with a small team during service. What you’ll do Prepare and cook shawarma, kebabs, rice, wraps, plates, and sides to recipe, portion, temperature, and presentation standards. Set up, stock, and maintain a clean, organized cooking station before, during, and after service. Move with urgency during dinner rushes while protecting order accuracy and food quality. Follow food-safety, sanitation, labeling, and cross-contamination procedures every shift. Communicate clearly with front-of-house and kitchen teammates so orders are complete and ready on time. Help with prep, restocking, closing, cleaning, and other kitchen tasks as needed. What we’re looking for Restaurant or kitchen experience is helpful, but we will train a dependable candidate who learns quickly. Pride in clean, consistent work and following recipes. Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment. A respectful, team-first attitude and reliable attendance. Availability for the posted weekend night shifts.
