Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Rehabilitation / Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse to join its Rehab Med Surg unit. This 35-bed Critical Access Hospital features a 10-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit and 25 medical-surgical beds. The RN will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients recovering from surgery, illness, injury, and rehabilitation needs while coordinating care with interdisciplinary teams. Candidates must possess strong Med Surg and Rehabilitation experience, prior travel experience, and Charge Nurse experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to Medical-Surgical and Rehabilitation patients.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.
• Coordinate total nursing care for patients recovering from illness, injury, or surgery.
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies according to physician orders.
• Participate in patient and family education regarding treatment plans and recovery goals.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

Requirements

• Active Vermont RN License or Compact License Required
• Minimum 2 Years Recent Medical-Surgical and Rehabilitation Experience Required
• Previous Travel Nursing Experience (Minimum 3 Months) Required
• Charge Nurse Experience Required
• BLS Certification (AHA) Required

• ACLS Certification (AHA) Required

BSN Strongly Preferred Cerner Experience Preferred
