Juliet, TN 371226319, USA Summary The full-time Assistant Manager is a full-time hourly employee whose primary function is the operation and supervision of a theatre and its employees, and to act as a representative to Regal in a way that is consistent with our mission statement and policies. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Regular and consistent attendance. Uphold and administer all theatre policies. The training, developing, coaching and supervising of non-management employees. Perform all staff positions as required. Operate all projection and audio‑visual equipment within the theatre, both hardware and software, including all applicable film handling (threading, building‑up, tearing down, etc.) and maintenance as required. Maintain knowledge of all systems within the facility in booth and projection technology including maintenance, programming, TMS operation and all related projection skills. Ensure required alcohol certification and training are current where applicable. Monitor risk management as it pertains to the theatre (employee and patron safety, loss prevention, emergency situations, proper handling, reporting, and investigating of accidents). Count, deposit, and reconcile all receipts taken during a business day. Receipts include cash, credit cards, coupons, gift cards, checks, discount tickets, and any other mode of payment or accountability deemed applicable by Regal. Knowledge and compliance of dress code. Complete or be in the process of completing the management certification program. Review and understand the ROM. Interview, hire, schedule, coach, counsel, suspend, and, where appropriate, terminate cast members under supervision of the General Manager or Assistant Manager and Human Resources Manager. Properly administer all applicable paperwork and uphold all company policies related to Human Resources. Control costs, including all direct operating expenses; purchase and order concession and café stock and other supplies needed; manage inventory and auditing processes. Supervise theatre maintenance (building and grounds, where applicable) and perform minor repairs; obtain qualified personnel for large maintenance concerns. Market and promote feature film engagements; schedule movie show times and deliver show times to all proper channels. Read and understand training materials covering sexual harassment and discrimination. Additional Duties As assigned by the GM or other senior manager. Education / Experience High School Diploma or equivalent (if not currently a high school student). At least three months supervisory experience, or six months theatre experience with completion of Cast Certification Program, or a combination thereof. For alcohol sales duties: legal age to sell and serve alcohol according to state or local laws; complete required state or local training and obtain certificate; complete Regal Responsible Beverage Server training on Regal Online University. Language Skills Good public speaking skills. Effectively communicate in both oral and written form with employees, vendors, corporate staff, etc. Listen effectively, respond clearly and directly, and explain information to others. Math Skills Perform calculations with speed and accuracy, identify and correct errors. Computer & Office Skills Proven experience with PC platforms and knowledge of basic office programs including e‑mail, word processing, spreadsheets. Operate copiers and other office equipment; manage filing systems; maintain attention to detail; use tools and equipment with dexterity; perform mechanical tasks as needed. Personal Skills Interface effectively with customers, public, and co‑workers, and exhibit sensitivity to feelings of others. Establish goals, budget time, and set priorities to achieve desired objectives. Supervisory Responsibilities Directly supervise an unspecified number of employees; train and coach employees; plan, assign, and direct work; appraise performance; reward, address complaints, resolve problems; discipline employees under direction of the General Manager or Assistant Manager. Interviewing and hiring may be directed by the General Manager. Physical Demands Work requires standing, walking, sitting, use of hands, reaching, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Regularly lift up to 60 lbs.
