Data Specialist

Data Specialist Employment Type: Full-Time, Mid-Level Department: Data Science Responsibilities Regularly load large volumes of production data and run exports from the database for creating discovery party productions. Download files from JEFS and perform quality control on load and export files to ensure accuracy. Modify load files and perform quality control on loaded data quickly and accurately. Assist with creating and updating document processing procedures as needed. Run multiple load streams simultaneously. Perform native file processing in LAW. Export data from Relativity to create load files for other platforms as requested by Case Manager. Perform data conversion processing, including conversions of various document types. Perform special format data conversions and file manipulation requests. Handle quality control on load files and Relativity data loads and exports. Perform advanced requests such as creating data exports for productions and performing quality control on files, complicated overlays or appends, privilege clawbacks, and sequestration of documents. Perform quality control to confirm accuracy on loads completed by new Data Specialists. Provide hands‑on training to other Data Specialists as needed. Perform basic Relativity searching and global updates to mark or tag records as requested; confirm record counts in Save Searches and Image redactions prior to exports for production. Clearly and accurately discuss data inconsistencies found with Project Manager. Assist on calls related to data load file formats or media encryption software with Case Manager and other IT individuals. Qualifications Experience loading large volumes of production data and performing quality control. Experience with JEFS file sharing and exporting to Relativity. Proficiency in LAW and Relativity. Skilled in data conversion processing and special format conversions. Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple load streams. Excellent communication skills for discussing inconsistencies with Project Manager. Ability to train junior Data Specialists. Experience with global updates and record tagging in Relativity.
