Role Description This key new position is an opportunity to join the Finance team of a dynamic and entrepreneurial media company in a highly cross-functional role. The Sr. Manager will be responsible for Film, TV, Talent, consolidated FP&A, emerging media verticals, and the related preparation of management, investor, lender, and other third-party materials while collaborating with Content Strategy, Marketing, Accounting, other shared service functions, and the operating divisions. Successful candidates will be highly motivated and team-oriented self-starters who are analytical, have a desire to learn, and can manage multiple priorities. Responsibilities: Work within a small, highly visible Finance team responsible for delivering Film, TV, Talent, and consolidated FP&A, treasury, and related business analytics capabilities Own the SVOD platform’s financial model, including subscriber cohorts, DTC and third-party hosted mix, ARPU, churn, pricing, distributor revenue share, and the ad-supported and FAST channel businesses Forecast content spend, capitalized content amortization, and title-level contribution margin, and partner with Accounting on ASC 926 treatment and amortization assumptions Track platform results against the acquisition underwriting model and deliver monthly and quarterly KPI reporting, P&L flux, and marketing efficiency and payback analysis Drive the SVOD, Film, TV, and consolidated FP&A process, including GAAP and cash revenue and expense forecasts, overhead and development budgets, and financial statements for the company's long-range plan, annual budget, and quarterly forecasts Manage consolidated treasury activities, including liquidity forecasting, cash and loan management, production SPV funding and intercompany flows, and the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual compliance materials for lenders and other third parties Partner with the operating divisions and other shared service functions to forecast plans, track performance, and communicate results Provide strategic insights and recommendations based on KPIs, data, analytics, and competitor analysis to help the company meet short-term requirements and achieve longer-term objectives Support corporate development initiatives, including investor presentations, capital raises, financing, M&A, purchase accounting and post-close integration reporting, and strategic growth opportunities Prepare regular corporate executive, board, investor, and fund LP reporting materials and perform ad-hoc financial and industry-related analyses to inform strategic decision-making Experience and Qualifications: 5+ years in media and entertainment, including FP&A, corporate finance, investment banking, and/or management consulting Direct experience with subscription or recurring revenue businesses, with SVOD, streaming, or DTC strongly preferred Proficient in media and entertainment business models, accounting principles including ASC 926 and ASC 606, and industry trends Experience preparing executive management, investor, lender, and other third-party materials Exceptional quantitative, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to command details, synthesize outputs, and balance priorities in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment Expertise in financial modeling, including advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint; NetSuite and SQL, Looker, or Tableau a plus Demonstrated track record as a high-performing team member who builds effective internal and external relationships Sound judgment handling confidential cap table, compensation, LP, and transaction information Education: Bachelor's degree; MBA or CPA a plus We believe that emerging voices are the driving force that shapes the cultural zeitgeist.
