On Call Staff

On-Call Support Position

On-call support is needed in various departments across both campuses. Departments in need include Early Learning Center, Campus Security (St. Louis and Elsah), Christian Science Nursing (Campus House and Cox Cottage), Telecom. Part-time, on-call position.

Essential Duties

• Early Learning Center: Lovingly cares for and implements age-appropriate curriculum outlined by the managers for children six weeks to through three years of age.
• Campus Security: Serves the community, guests, and visiting public by upholding Principia's standards for safety and security. Provides a security presence and monitors campus traffic, events, and activities. Responds to and assists with security matters and/or emergencies.
• Christian Science Nursing: Upholds and maintains the standard of the Christian Science nurse as given in the Church Manual by-law (Article VIII, Section 31). Capably and compassionately responds to a variety of needs for infants, school-age children, and adults.
• Telecom: Trains on Cisco Unified Attendant Console System. Serves as substitutes for our regular operators and as the initial contact for incoming calls.

Minimum Qualifications

• Student of Christian Science; if not, values aligned.
• Supportive of Principia's mission, vision, and values as articulated here
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Early Learning Center: experience working with infants and toddlers.
• Campus Security: experience working security preferred; ability to endure frequent periods of standing, walking, climbing stairs, traversing uneven or slippery terrain, and lifting heavy items without assistance; must have a valid driver's license.
• Christian Science Nursing: Journal-listing as a Christian Science nurse; successful completion of a Christian Science nurse's training program; two or more years' experience working in the field.
• Telecom: familiarity with both campuses preferred.
