Manufacturing Operations Supervisor – Riverside, CA Position: Manufacturing Operations Supervisor Location: Riverside, CA, United States Employer: Collins Aerospace (RTX) Job Summary Support production of composite components for aircraft engines in a union manufacturing environment, primarily on 2nd shift (3:00PM – 11:30PM) with initial 1st shift training. The role may require coverage on earlier shifts and on-call responsibilities every other weekend. Key Responsibilities Lead a team of 15–25 bargaining unit personnel in day‑to‑day production operations. Maintain Environmental, Health and Safety compliance, including regulatory record keeping, injury reduction, and a behavioral‑based safety culture. Lead shop‑floor Real Time Problem Resolution (RTPR) meetings (Tier1). Maintain personnel attendance and performance records. Promote employee retention and growth and foster a “One Team” philosophy. Monitor performance metrics such as productivity, production schedule, cost, quality, and customer‑satisfaction goals. Drive root‑cause and corrective action to eliminate repeat errors. Guide cost‑reduction and process‑improvement initiatives across multiple cells to ensure operational efficiency and cost effectiveness. Required Qualifications University degree (typically in STEM) and minimum 2years of relevant experience. Experience leading a team in a manufacturing environment. Experience working with composite materials. Bargaining unit experience. Experience with Percent Loads, Standard Worksheet, and Standard Work Combination Sheets. Experience with RTPR Process. Preferred Qualifications Experience in a manufacturing environment or technical knowledge. Salary USD$75,800 – 144,200 per year (depending on experience).
