About the Position

Job Title: RN Step Down Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:45 PM - 07:15 AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Valid RN License Certifications: - Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification - Successful completion of a proctored rhythm test Must-Have: - Strong motivation and commitment to patient care - Experience in a Cardiac Stepdown Unit Description: Looking for highly motivated nurses to assist in a Cardiac Stepdown Unit. The unit has a capacity of 23 beds. The population served includes patients with heart diagnoses. Patients may require care for sheaths or external pacemakers. The age range of patients served is from young adults to older adults. The nurse to patient ratio is 4:1 to 5:1, based on patient acuity. Registered Nurses assume full responsibility for the patients on their team. Core staffing includes Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Patient Care Technicians, and Nurse Interns. Certifications required include BLS, ACLS, and NIH Certification.
