Position Overview

Our Division of Nephrology is actively seeking a full-time Pediatric Nephrologist to join our enthusiastic and expanding team.

About the Division

Ranked #39 by U.S. News & World Report , our Nephrology Division is the largest pediatric nephrology program in the Southwest. Our team consists of 11 board-certified nephrologists and a nurse practitioner, providing care across six satellite locations in the Valley, as well as in Flagstaff and Yuma. Our physicians are involved in multi-disciplinary clinics throughout the hospital, including those focused on Spina Bifida, Fontan procedures, Stone Clinic, Long-Term Follow-Up from BMT, Lupus Clinic, and more.

Inpatient Care and Specialized Programs

Our division is integral to inpatient care, supporting 484 beds, which includes 153 intensive care beds (PICU, CVICU, NICU). We are proud to host Arizona's only dedicated pediatric dialysis center, offering both outpatient and inpatient hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis to around 40 patients. Additionally, we provide the state's sole Pediatric Kidney Transplant Program and a comprehensive Continuous Kidney Replacement Therapy (CKRT) initiative.

Commitment to Education and Research

Beyond patient care, we are dedicated to education and innovation. Our physicians hold academic positions at the University of Arizona College of Medicine-Phoenix, Mayo Medical School, and Creighton Medical School, and are actively involved in clinical and translational research.

Fellowship Opportunity

We are excited to announce the initiation of our Pediatric Nephrology Fellowship program. This fellowship presents a unique chance for physicians to enhance their clinical and research expertise in pediatric nephrology, equipping them to become leaders in the field. As part of our division, you will have the opportunity to mentor and influence the next generation of pediatric nephrologists.
