Job Summary and Qualifications

You will be responsible for the proper decontamination, processing, sterilization, and distribution of instruments, supplies and equipment to the OR and other areas of the hospital. We are a tight-knit team who realizes the importance of and how we in SPD affect patient safety. If you are dedicated to caring for others, this could be your next opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating room case carts, sterile trays, and supplies for all areas of the hospital

• Clean, assemble,wrapand sterilize reusable surgical instruments and supplies according to the procedures scheduled

• Responsible for the maintenance ofaccuratesterilization records for all machine tests as well as a monthly report

•OperateUltrasonic, Steam,SterisandSterradequipment

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent

• Knowledge of sterilization supplies, equipment and instruments

• Certification from CBSPD or HSPA

•Previous experience 1-2 years strongly preferred

• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English

• Basic computer knowledge

HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital is a 380-bed acute-care hospital. Offering a full range of services. We are home to the most experienced Heart Institute on the Treasure Coast. Lawnwood Hospital provides interventional and therapeutic care, including open-heart surgery.
