We're conducting a confidential search for an Executive Chef to lead the culinary operation of a successful and growing catering business in the Charlotte market. This is a hands-on leadership role for a chef who understands high-volume production and knows how to deliver exceptional food consistentlywhether it's leaving the kitchen for a corporate event, wedding, private celebration, or large-scale function.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Take ownership of the culinary operation and day-to-day kitchen production
• Develop production schedules based on event volume and timing
• Oversee preparation, cooking, portioning, packaging, and final quality checks
• Coordinate culinary execution for weddings, corporate events, private parties, and social functions
• Lead and develop chefs, cooks, and hourly culinary employees
• Manage staffing, scheduling, purchasing, inventory, and food costs
• Create efficient systems that allow the team to execute multiple events simultaneously
• Maintain strict food safety, sanitation, quality, and presentation standards
• Collaborate with leadership on menus, new offerings, and operational improvements
• Help identify opportunities to increase efficiency and support continued business growth

WHAT MAKES YOU A FIT

• 5+ years of Executive Chef or senior culinary leadership experience
• Strong experience with catering, banquet, or high-volume food production
• Comfortable managing large-scale production and multiple events
• Strong understanding of food cost, labor, purchasing, and inventory
• Excellent organizational and planning skills
• Ability to remain calm and decisive when priorities change
• Proven ability to recruit, train, motivate, and retain culinary teams
• A hands-on leader who cares about both the food and the people producing it
