Supervisor of Instructional Practices and Teacher Development Essex North Shore Agricultural & Technical School, Danvers, Massachusetts Job Details Job ID: 5836881 Application Deadline: Posted until filled Posted: Jul 16, 2026 4:00 AM (UTC) Starting Date: Aug 31, 2026 Position Type: Full-Time Salary: $95,000 to $105,000 Per Year Job Description Essex North Shore is seeking a Supervisor of Instructional Practices and Teacher Development to work collaboratively and thoughtfully with administration and instructional staff to boost academic outcomes for students across the school. The supervisor is responsible for improving teaching quality, supporting educator growth, and ensuring instructional practices align with district goals, curriculum standards, and student achievement outcomes. This position is an unaffiliated, at-will, non-administrative role. Qualifications Master's degree in Education, Curriculum and Instruction, Educational Leadership, or a related field required. Five to seven years of classroom-based instructional experience. Valid MA DESE professional teaching certification. Prior experience as an instructional coach, curriculum coordinator, assistant principal, principal, or similar leadership role preferred. Demonstrated success improving instructional practices and student achievement. CORI, SORI, and SAFIS required. Bilingual preferred. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and oversee district-wide professional learning programs for teachers and instructional staff. Coach, mentor, and support teachers and instructional leaders to improve classroom instruction and student outcomes. Collaborate with principals to identify instructional priorities and develop school improvement strategies. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of instructional programs and professional development initiatives. Analyze student achievement and instructional data to inform decision-making and continuous improvement. Support implementation of curriculum, instructional resources, and evidence-based teaching practices. Coordinate teacher induction, mentoring, and onboarding programs for new educators. Assist with educator evaluation systems, instructional observations, and feedback processes. Facilitate professional learning communities (PLCs) and collaborative teacher teams. Promote culturally responsive teaching, equitable instructional practices, and inclusive learning environments. Stay current on educational research, state standards, instructional technology, and best practices. Assist in developing district policies related to curriculum, instruction, and professional learning. Manage grants, budgets, and resources related to instructional improvement and teacher development, as assigned. Collaborate with higher education institutions and community partners to enhance educator development. Perform other duties as assigned by the Academic Coordinators or their designee. Terms and Conditions of Employment This is a 260-day position. The nature of this position requires hours beyond the regular school day; it is expected that the person filling this position will give priority to completing the necessary tasks and set hours accordingly. Salary and fringe benefits to be established by the Superintendent-Director in accordance with School Committee policies. Job Requirements At least 5 years of relevant experience preferred.
