Solar Field Service Technician: Diagnostics & Repairs

Position OverviewKey ResponsibilitiesSolar Service & Troubleshooting- Diagnose and resolve common solar service issues including:- Low production alerts - Gateway / inverter communication issues - Microinverter failures - Battery performance concerns - Roof leak-related service (per SOP) - Warranty-related service callsPerform basic system testing and verification in the fieldSupport removal & reinstall (R&R) projects as neededField Work & Site Support- Perform on-site service visits and inspectionsAssist with site surveys when requiredDocument work performed with photos and notesCommunicate findings clearly to internal teamService Coordination Support- Utilize ServiceTitan or similar platforms for job tracking and updatesAssist with service documentation and job status updatesSupport coordination with technicians, vendors, and internal teamCross-Trade Exposure (As Needed)- Light electrical service support (non-licensed work only)Generator or surge-related service coordinationGeneral service team supportRequired Experience- 1–3 years of residential solar experience (installation, service, or troubleshooting)Working knowledge of solar system components and common service issuesStrong problem-solving and field troubleshooting skillsAbility to document work clearly and communicate effectivelyPreferred (Not Required)- Experience with ServiceTitan or similar service platformsElectrical experience (highly valued)Experience with removal & reinstall (R&R) projectsSite survey experienceCertifications (a plus not required)EnphaseTesla (Powerwall)Generac (PWRcell)QcellsSolarEdge #J-18808-Ljbffr Torrey Holistics
