Job Summary

AVIR is looking for a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide compassionate, high-quality patient care on a per diem basis at our Post, Texas location.

The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide individualized treatments designed to improve patients' strength, mobility, balance, coordination, and overall functional independence.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.

• Perform therapeutic exercises and functional activities according to the established plan of care.

• Assist patients with gait training, transfers, mobility, balance, and strengthening activities.

• Monitor and document patient progress and response to treatment.

• Communicate patient status and concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist and healthcare team.

• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation.

• Follow all applicable facility policies, safety procedures, and professional standards.

• Provide respectful, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Current Texas Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license .

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.

• Current CPR/BLS certification, as required.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.

• Previous rehabilitation or healthcare experience preferred.
