Web Developer/Designer

OverviewThe H&K Group, Inc. Marketing/Public Relations department, located in Skippack, PA, is looking for a Web Developer/Designer to join their team! The role combines technical web development skills with strong visual design abilities.The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating, maintaining and improving websites while also developing engaging graphics and visual content for digital and marketing initiatives.The candidate for this role should have a strong eye for design, attention to detail, and the ability to translate business and marketing objectives into attractive, functional digital experiences.ResponsibilitiesWeb DevelopmentDesign, develop, and maintain responsive, user-friendly websites.Build and update web pages using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and relevant web technologies.Manage and maintain website content, functionality, and performance.Ensure websites are optimized for desktops, iPads, and mobile devices.Troubleshoot website issues and implement timely solutions.Improve website speed, usability, accessibility, and search engine optimization (SEO).Work with internal teams to develop landing pages, online forms, and other digital experiences.Integrate third-party tools, plugins, APIs, analytics, and other website services as needed.Graphic Design Create graphics for websites, social media, email marketing, advertisements, presentations, and promotional materials.Develop visual concepts, layouts, illustrations, and branded marketing materials.Maintain consistency with company branding, colors, typography, and visual guidelines.Edit and optimize images for web and print use.Collaborate with marketing and other departments to develop creative campaigns.Produce high-quality designs within established deadlines.Stay current with design trends, digital media, and emerging creative technologies.Collaboration & Project SupportWork closely with management, marketing, and other team members to understand project requirements.Translate ideas and business objectives into effective visual and digital solutions.Manage multiple projects and priorities while meeting deadlines.Provide creative recommendations for improving the company's digital presence.Participate in website and marketing strategy discussions.QualificationsRequiredBS or BA in Communications, Web Development, Computer Science, Digital Media, or related.5-10 years of experience in the Web Development / Design field.Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.Experience with responsive web design and content management systems such as WordPress or similar platforms.Proficiency with graphic design software (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and/or InDesign).Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently.PreferredKnowledge of SEO and website analytics.Familiarity with website hosting, domains, DNS, and basic website security.Experience with e-commerce platforms.Core CompetenciesStrategic thinking and creative problem-solvingStrong project management and organizational skillsAbility to work effectively with senior leaders and cross-functional teamsCalm, flexible, and solution-oriented in fast-paced environmentsWorking ConditionsIn Office is preferred but hybrid would be considered as applicable.H&K Group, Inc. provides complete heavy civil contracting and construction materials solutions with safety, speed, quality, efficiency, and value.
