ChristianaCare is recruitinga Trauma Surgeon to join a collegial group of 13 fellowship-trained Surgical Critical Care and Acute Care Surgeons at our Level 1 Trauma Center in Newark Delaware.

Qualifications:

Board-certified in General surgery

Board-eligible or certified in Surgical Critical Care.

Preference for applicants to participate in call and rotational coverage of the Trauma Emergency General Surgery (EGS) and Surgical Critical Care services.

Interest and participationin the education of medical students residents and surgical critical care/acute care surgery fellows.

Preference for candidates to be interested in surgical research

Christiana Hospital in Newark Delaware is part of the ChristianaCare Health System a Magnet non-profit health care organization with over 1200 beds between three hospitals (Christiana Wilmington and Union Campuses). It is the only Level I trauma center on the East Coast corridor situated between Philadelphia and Baltimore with a wide catchment area that draws from PA NJ MD and DE. We also serve as the tertiary referral center for the state of Delaware. The Trauma Program has over 5000 unique patient contacts per year while EGS has nearly 4000. Our 22-bed Surgical Critical Care Complex maintains a high census. ChristianaCare has been honored repeatedly for quality of care by multiple organizations.

Annual Compensation Range $445027.00 - $615473.00

The above compensation range represents ChristianaCares good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting for full-time hours in the respective specialty. The actual compensation within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on a variety of factors including without limitation the fair market value for physician services in the relevant specialty and the candidates relevant experience education training credentials and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements. The compensation range listed may encompass various forms of applicable compensation for this position including but not limited to productivity incentives value-based incentives and other ancillary forms of compensation dependent upon operational factors such as hours worked call coverage and other factors. ChristianaCare will offer compensation at an appropriate point within the above range or less frequently may offer a level of compensation outside the listed range as warranted by the circumstances.
