Position Summary Humanity United is seeking a Portfolio Manager (PM) to join the Forced Labor & Human Trafficking (FLHT) team. This full-time, remote role plays a key role in team management , communication , program strategy , and external relations . The PM will collaborate closely with the Senior Portfolio Director to support team operations, manage the portfolio’s strategy, and engage internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail , excellent organizational skills , and a self-starter attitude to manage multiple priorities. The position is remote and open to candidates based anywhere in the United States. Core Responsibilities Forced Labor & Human Trafficking Team Management Manage annual and multi-year budget tools to support programmatic areas. Facilitate team operations, including meetings, retreats, and communication. Ensure team alignment with internal HU departments and external partners. Develop and manage FLHT Portfolio contracts with HU’s Operations team. Support DEIJ-related learning and accountability within the team. Strategy Design and Management Lead the development and implementation of the portfolio-level strategy . Support participatory processes to refresh strategy in alignment with HU’s systems catalyst approach. Ensure effective internal and external communications regarding strategy. Cross-HU and External Leadership Cultivate relationships with grantees and external partners, offering strategic support. Act as a liaison between departments to ensure cross-functional alignment. Represent HU at conferences, meetings, and in external communications. Communication and Learning Prepare internal documents, presentations, and board reports. Collaborate with the Communications team to create external materials. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Must-Have Requirements Dedication to HU’s mission and core values (including Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice ). High tolerance for ambiguity and ability to manage multiple priorities . Experience in facilitating conversations around complex issues. Strong background in managing large, diverse projects and budgets. Proficiency in financial and grantmaking systems . Bonus Skills Experience in labor rights , migration , or corporate accountability . Familiarity with remote team management and non-profit environments . Fluency in languages such as Arabic , French , Spanish , etc. Salary and Benefits Salary ranges vary based on location: New York : $119,803 – $133,115 Washington DC/Boston/Seattle/LA : $113,498 – $126,109 Chicago/Denver/Boulder/Philadelphia : $107,193 – $119,103 Other Locations : Competitive salary based on location.
