About the Position

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Nights (5:00 PM – 5:00 AM) | 36 hours per week | 13-Week Assignment | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care across Emergency Room and Medical Surgical units within a Critical Access facility
• Manage inpatient census, dividing patient load collaboratively among nursing staff each shift
• Assess, triage, and care for Emergency Room patients, sharing ER patient responsibilities with the nursing team as needed
• Participate in required weekend rotation (every 3rd weekend)
• Collaborate with LPNs, CNAs, and on-call crisis nursing staff to maintain safe staffing and quality patient care
• Document patient care accurately using Cerner EMR

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license with verifiable experience in both Emergency Room and Medical Surgical nursing
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) – must be current at time of submission
• ACLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) – must be current at time of submission
• TNCC certification – must be current at time of submission
• ER and Med Surg experience must be reflected in work history at time of submission

Preferred Experience / Skills

• NRP (AHA) certification – highly preferred; candidates with a scheduled class prior to start may be considered with receipt provided
• Prior experience in a Critical Access or low-census facility environment
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR
