Speech-Language Pathologist / Mixed-Setting Rehabilitation


Location: Eastern Oregon, near Seneca

A community-based healthcare organization in Eastern Oregon is seeking a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist to join its rehabilitation team. This position offers a varied caseload across outpatient and inpatient settings with an emphasis on individualized, one-on-one care. The role is well suited for an SLP who enjoys clinical variety, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the opportunity to help expand access to speech therapy services in a rural community.


Responsibilities

• Evaluate speech, language, cognition, voice, fluency, breathing, and swallowing function
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Provide skilled therapy based on patient needs, functional goals, and clinical findings
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as appropriate
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding therapy goals and strategies
• Coordinate care with physicians, rehabilitation professionals, and other healthcare disciplines
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Participate in quality and performance improvement activities
• Support continuity of care through appropriate referrals and follow-up
• Supervise students, support personnel, or clinical fellows when appropriate and within licensure requirements

The client specifically notes that SLPs work one-on-one with patients and have dedicated documentation time built into the schedule.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program
• Current Oregon SLP license in good standing
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in hospital inpatient and outpatient settings
• Hospital experience is preferred, not listed as a required qualification
