Senior Frontend Software Engineer

Fully remote - working mostly East Coast/Central hours Compensation up to $185,000+ depending on location, experience and skills Join a mission-driven team creating digital products that help family healthcare workers navigate and manage with confidence. This role focuses on building high-quality web experiences, advancing frontend architecture, and optimizing CMS-driven websites while driving engagement, accessibility, and performance.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain modern, responsive web applications and CMS-based websites.
• Build accessible, secure, and high-performing user experiences using JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Manage and enhance CMS platforms, including custom themes, modules, and plugins.
• Ensure compliance with SEO best practices, analytics tracking, and privacy compliance standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver new features and improve user engagement.
• Ensure quality through testing, code reviews, and CI/CD best practices.
• Contribute to platform performance, reliability, monitoring, and scalability initiatives.
• Provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, and support architectural decisions.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of software development experience with strong focus on frontend development.
• 5+ years of experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS; React experience preferred.
• Experience with Drupal and/or WordPress development and administration.
• Working knowledge of PHP; experience with Python or Golang is a plus.
• Experience with SEO, web analytics, and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with Varnish, Solr, Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Cloud experience, preferably AWS.
• Strong understanding of testing, security, accessibility, and modern web development best practices.

Preferred:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Linux experience and comfort working in a remote environment.
