Maintenance TechnicianLocation: Rockwall, TX, US, 75032 Workplace Type: Maintenance Technician – Rockwall, TXSummary: As a Maintenance Technician at Mattr, you will ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of manufacturing equipment within our Flexpipe facility. This role directly impacts production uptime and plant safety by troubleshooting complex equipment issues, executing preventative maintenance, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. You will work in a fast-paced environment where priorities shift frequently, requiring strong critical thinking and the ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team. This role will be working a rotating shift of days and nights.Responsibilities:Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, and control systems in a manufacturing environment while complying with safety standards and codes.Diagnose equipment issues by interpreting mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to maximize uptime and equipment reliability.Support equipment upgrades, retrofits, modifications, and new installations including alignment, wiring, and commissioning.Accurately document maintenance activities, work orders, and parts usage within a CMMS system.Maintain inventory of spare parts and ensure availability of electrical and mechanical components.Provide hands-on technical support during startups, shutdowns, changeovers, and unplanned downtime events.Collaborate cross-functionally with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to minimize downtime and improve performance.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, identifying root causes and implementing solutions to improve equipment reliability.Execute and support plant safety programs including LOTO, fall protection, and hot work permitting, while contributing to a safe working environment.Qualifications:Technical training or post-secondary education in electrical, mechanical, or instrumentation disciplines preferredMinimum 3 years of maintenance experience within a manufacturing environmentStrong troubleshooting skills across mechanical and electrical systems with a structured, step-by-step approachExperience working with industrial electrical systems, PLCs, and production equipmentAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, and mechanical drawingsExperience using a CMMS to manage maintenance activities and work ordersDemonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and adapt in a fast-paced environmentWillingness to work rotating 12-hour shifts and overtime as requiredWhy Join Mattr?Multiple medical, dental & vision plan options (Blue Cross Blue Shield & VSP)Health Savings Account (HSA) with monthly company contributions401(k) with dollar-for-dollar match, vested from day oneIncentive bonus plans + paid vacation & sick leaveEmployer-paid Life, AD&D, and Long-Term Disability insuranceWellness incentivesFree Employee Assistance Program (EAP)Discounts on fitness, shopping & travel (Blue365, LifeMart & more)
