Metallurgist - technical lead

Requirements:

Create new heat treat processes and procedures.
Give technical direction to production.
Ensure compliance with customer specifications.
Verify current processes.
Trouble shoot equipment.
Determine failure modes in parts and processes.
Customer service.
Management of the metallurgical laboratory and direct reports
Oversee completion of Metallurgical PPAP procedure.
Assist with customer and regulatory audits (AS9100, Nadcap)
Research technologies that apply to provide continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

Communicate well with teammates and customers
Comply with company safety and quality requirements
Be comfortable giving technical direction to production personnel.
Have commercial heat treat knowledge and experience.
Have 3-5 years of customer service experience.
Enjoy a busy work day with a variety of tasks
Have a thorough understanding of metallurgy and microstructure analysis.
