This role ensures the organization operates efficiently, profitably, and in alignment with corporate objectives while maintaining exceptional quality and customer satisfaction standards. The General Manager oversees departmental leaders, drives operational excellence, manages financial performance, develops organizational strategies, and fosters a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and teamwork across all business functions. This position serves as a key member of the leadership team and is responsible for delivering sustainable growth and operational success.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesProvide overall leadership and direction for manufacturing, warehousing, purchasing, estimating, project management, and other operational functions.Develop and execute business strategies, operational objectives, and performance initiatives that support company growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction.Establish and maintain policies, procedures, and performance standards that ensure operational efficiency, quality control, and regulatory compliance.Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of projects to ensure customer expectations, budgets, and timelines are met.Lead and manage departmental leaders, including Project Managers, CAD Detailers, Production Manager, Warehouse Manager, and other key personnel.Direct recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, succession planning, and employee development initiatives.Foster a positive workplace culture that promotes accountability, collaboration, employee engagement, and continuous improvement.Manage company budgets, financial performance, resource allocation, and operational expenditures to meet profitability goals.Review and oversee project estimating activities to ensure pricing accuracy, cost controls, and successful project outcomes.Analyze operational and financial performance metrics and implement strategic improvements to maximize productivity and profitability.Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, suppliers, and strategic business partners.Collaborate with senior leadership to identify business opportunities, operational improvements, and long-term growth strategies.Monitor inventory, production capacity, labor utilization, and supply chain performance to ensure efficient operations.Resolve operational, personnel, customer, and vendor-related issues in a timely and effective manner.Prepare, review, and present reports related to financial performance, operational efficiency, project profitability, productivity, warranty spend, and key performance indicators.Ensure all departments operate in compliance with company policies, safety standards, and applicable laws and regulations.Champion continuous improvement initiatives that enhance quality, efficiency, customer satisfaction, and company profitability.Represent the company professionally with customers, vendors, employees, and industry partners.Support business needs during evenings and weekends as required to meet operational demands and customer expectations.Qualifications RequiredProven leadership experience in general management, operations management, manufacturing, project management, or a related business leadership role.Demonstrated success managing multiple business functions, teams, and departments.Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, financial reporting, and profit-and-loss management.Exceptional organizational and strategic planning skills with the ability to prioritize competing demands.Strong leadership, coaching, and team development capabilities.Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and business management systems.Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to operational excellence and service delivery.Ability to work evenings and weekends as business and customer needs require.PreferredBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.Experience in the trade show, exhibit, event production, manufacturing, or custom fabrication industry.Experience managing domestic and international operations and projects.Knowledge of estimating, inventory management, production planning, logistics, and supply chain operations.Experience with ERP, EMS, or enterprise business management systems.Demonstrated success leading process improvement, operational excellence, or Lean initiatives.Core CompetenciesExecutive LeadershipBusiness Operations ManagementStrategic Planning and ExecutionFinancial Management and BudgetingProfit and Loss AccountabilityProject and Production ManagementProcess Improvement and Operational ExcellenceOrganizational DevelopmentTalent Management and Team LeadershipCustomer Relationship ManagementVendor and Supply Chain ManagementPerformance Metrics and ReportingProblem Solving and Decision MakingCommunication and CollaborationAccountability and Results OrientationReporting StaffProject ManagersCAD DetailersProduction ManagerWarehouse ManagerOther Operations Personnel as AssignedExhibitus is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
