Duration: 12 Months (CTH)
Location: Houston, TX (60% onsite role: 2-3 days in a week onsite)
This is a W2 position.
Required:
- BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
- 10 years of Oracle DBA experience with strong understanding of database architecture and performance tuning skills
- Experience architecting, supporting and implementing advanced, strategic database management systems
- Demonstrated ability to drive Agile development and implement automated process to improve database system reliability
- Advanced knowledge of IT infrastructure, with a background in systems and network administration
- Strong development skills in a dynamic programming language such as Python, JavaScript,.NET, Perl, SQL, TSQL
- Proficiency in multiple business disciplines and functions and knowledge about the firm's strategic direction
- Strong critical thinking, problem solving and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to deliver results and provide good customer experience
- Advanced experience administering various multi-terabyte 24x7 uptime oracle databases as a infrastructure database administrator
- Strong working experience with Oracle Versions 11g R1/R2, 12c, and 19c on various UNIX and WINDOWS platforms
- Experience with Multinode RAC cluster, ASM, Oracle DataGuard, Oracle OEM, and Oracle Golden Gate technologies
- Extensive knowledge with Backup and Recovery using Oracle RMAN, ZDLRA appliances
- Broad technology exposure including networks, distributed servers, SAN/NAS storage, virtualization, messaging, databases, and all major operating systems.
Job description:
- Architects advanced, strategic DBMS solutions, supports development and/or production of large scale, complex distributed, midrange, and/or mainframe environments, develops and manages execution of DB implementation/upgrade
- Evaluates tools and performs database performance monitoring, analysis and recommendations
- Defines database standards, policies and procedures
- Strong ability to perform data modeling and define data entities and attributes of large scale, complex business application data
- Maintains strong data governance discipline. Highly effective at facilitation of data requirements sessions for complex applications.
- Demonstrated proficiency in use of data modeling tools and operational/data warehouse design concepts.
