Equipment Maintenance Technician 2

Roles & Responsibilities

• Operate equipment within specified quality and quantity limits
• Set up and debug equipment per specifications; escalate deviations to supervisor/engineering
• Maintain equipment in working order - adjust, troubleshoot, clean, and repair as needed
• Keep clear, legible equipment logs documenting downtime and maintenance issues
• Handle repairs within capability; report major problems and assist with larger repairs
• Perform preventive maintenance per the plant's PM program
• Apply knowledge of pneumatics, electrical, electronic, and hydraulic systems; use tools correctly
• Start up equipment, monitor the control panel, replenish components, and verify safety guards are functional
• Check and clean part tracks to ensure smooth component flow
• Notify material handlers when part supplies run low
• Maintain accurate production and downtime records
• Keep the production area neat and organized
• Monitor in-process quality, run QC checks and process challenges
• Follow all safety, environmental, and Quality System Requirements

Experience Required

• 1 - 4 years of relevant manufacturing, machine operation, equipment maintenance, or technical experience preferred.
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting production equipment is highly desirable.

Eligibilities & qualifications

• Technical ability to troubleshoot and operate manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to use hand tools safely and effectively.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
• Must be able to maintain accurate production and equipment records.
• Eye examination is required.
• Ability to work a 12-hour night shift and occasional overtime.
