Equipment Maintenance Technician 2

Roles & Responsibilities

• Set up and debug equipment per specifications and department procedures
• Maintain equipment in working order - adjust, troubleshoot, clean, and repair as needed
• Maintain detailed equipment logs recording downtime and maintenance issues (legible handwriting required)
• Repair equipment within capability; report major problems to supervisor and assist Engineering/Maintenance teams on major repairs
• Perform preventative maintenance per plant PM program
• Start up equipment, monitor component inventories, and ensure safety guards are functional
• Check and clean part tracks to ensure smooth component flow
• Maintain accurate production and downtime records
• Monitor in-process quality, perform required QC checks, and run process challenges
• Maintain a neat, orderly production environment
• Observe all safety, environmental, and Quality System Requirements (QSR)

Experience Required

• Minimum 2 years of work experience in a manufacturing environment required

Skills & Certifications

• Assembly tools proficiency
• Mechanical troubleshooting and mechanical drive systems knowledge
• Hydraulics and pneumatics knowledge
• Motor/gearbox familiarity
• Good problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with personal computers and basic Windows environment
• Nice to have: Industrial wiring knowledge

Eligibilities & qualifications

• Eye exam required onsite
• Steel toe or composite shoes required
• Must be able to work overtime as requested by business needs
• Candidate may start while background check is pending (criminal check must clear first)
• No drug screening required
• Training conducted on day shift, then transitioned to night shift (minimum 6 weeks)
