Job Title

Respiratory Therapist – Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics

Columbus, GA

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (18:30–07:00)

Key Responsibilities

• Manage invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation for a patient population ranging from infants to geriatrics, with a primary focus on adult patients and exposure to intubated pediatric patients
• Perform arterial blood gas and capillary blood gas sampling, including draws from lines, and place arterial lines
• Administer aerosol therapy and manage oxygen therapy across a variety of patient acuity levels
• Conduct bedside pulmonary function tests and spirometry as needed
• Provide patient education related to respiratory care and treatment plans
• Float within the facility and to a sister campus as operationally needed

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of Respiratory Therapist experience; first-time travelers accepted
• Active Georgia Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Trauma experience required
• Proficiency with unit systems including Epic, Pyxis, SBAR, Viasys Vela, GE Carescape, and Viasys Avea

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Pulmonary function testing and spirometry experience preferred
• Experience in a Level 2 trauma center, stroke-certified, or NICU environment
