Lead Material Handler/CDL Driver

Raytheon is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Material Handler/CDL Driver to support and oversee material movements and provide advanced logistical support for factory operations at our Camden, Arkansas facility. This role involves managing the transportation and handling of hardware between storage areas and factory locations, optimizing inventory processes, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards. This position will also include mentoring team members, providing guidance and contributing to the development of improved processes and techniques.
What You Will Do
- Independently coordinate and oversee the transport of materials between warehouses and factory locations, ensuring optimal efficiency.
- Provide leadership and training to other material handlers and drivers.
- Develop and implement innovative solutions to improve logistics and inventory processes.
- Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with documented safety protocols around energetic materials.
- Handle advanced documentation and reporting for incoming and outgoing shipments using digital systems and ensuring complete accuracy.
- Operate and troubleshoot a variety of material handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, walker stackers, and other specialized tools.
- Conduct regular audits of warehouse/storage areas to ensure a high standard of organization and compliance.
- Lead team meetings and contribute to strategic production planning.
- This is a 1st shift, onsite position.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 8 years relevant experience
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a minimum of 4 years of commercial driving experience.
- Hazmat Certification with Endorsement.
- DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience working independently and developing solutions to moderately complex operational challenges.
- Knowledge of physical warehousing practices and inventory control systems.
- Proficiency with logistics or inventory management software (SAP), in addition to standard Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).
- Experience in leading and mentoring teams in a manufacturing or logistics environment.
- Certified Forklift Operator with advanced Material Handling Equipment (MHE) Certification.
