Position: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Travel ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional care for critically ill patients in a high-acuity intensive care setting. The ideal candidate will have strong critical care experience, advanced clinical assessment skills, and the ability to manage complex patient conditions using evidence-based practices. The ICU RN collaborates closely with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, compassionate, and high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for critically ill adult patients.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, hemodynamic parameters, neurological status, and vital signs.
• Administer medications, IV infusions, vasoactive drips, blood products, and other critical care therapies as prescribed.
• Manage patients requiring mechanical ventilation, invasive monitoring, and advanced life support interventions.
• Recognize and respond rapidly to changes in patient condition, medical emergencies, and codes.
• Operate and monitor critical care equipment, including ventilators, infusion pumps, and cardiac monitoring systems.
• Collaborate with intensivists, physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, disease processes, and recovery expectations.
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, medications, and patient progress in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Maintain compliance with infection prevention standards, patient safety initiatives, and hospital policies.
• Float to other appropriate critical care units when required based on patient care needs and competency.
