Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Summary:


Provide specialized nursing care to obstetric patients in the Labor and Delivery unit, ensuring safe and effective childbirth experiences. Must have charge experience and be willing to work in a charge nurse capacity.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate patient care activities within the Labor and Delivery unit.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Monitor and assess fetal and maternal health during labor and delivery.
• Administer medications and perform procedures following hospital protocols.
• Document patient information accurately using Meditech system.
• Respond promptly to emergency situations and provide appropriate interventions.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Texas RN license (temporary licenses not accepted).
• Possess 2+ years of recent Labor and Delivery experience.
• Maintain current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and FM certifications.
• Demonstrate charge experience and ability to lead a team.
• Preferred: RNC certification and Meditech experience.
• Be willing to work 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM shifts, including weekends.
