I&C Design Engineer

Leading the design of I&C systems in a long-term remote contract role, the I&C Design Engineer will provide system design, prototype development, and integration for Sodium Fast Reactor technologies while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Key responsibilities Provide system design, prototype development, testing, and integration for Sodium Fast Reactor technologies Develop and review system- and component-level specifications, ensuring compliance with nuclear codes and regulations Create and manage detailed technical design documents and generate comprehensive design packages including P&IDs and control system architecture Required qualifications B.S. or higher in Controls, Electrical, or related discipline with 10+ years of experience in instrumentation and control systems Proven experience in developing, diagnostics, and delivering industrial I&C platforms Experience with nuclear reactor safety systems or nuclear instrumentation design is desired Knowledge of nuclear power plant quality assurance standards is preferred Proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks is preferred
