About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with a focus on government and fund accounting, particularly in the context of affordable housing. The successful candidate will be a hands-on financial leader, responsible for driving change, and building financial strength within the organization. This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency in government-funded programs, and the CFO will be expected to lead financial oversight, including month-end close, year-end reporting, and government compliance. A key aspect of the position is to provide high-level financial insights and reports to the board and executive leadership, as well as to manage a small but critical accounting team. Applicants for the CFO position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, with a CPA being preferred. The role requires a detail-oriented and hands-on approach, with a deep financial acumen and a willingness to be involved in all aspects of financial management, from strategic oversight to day-to-day financial operations. Collaborative leadership is essential, as the CFO will be expected to work across departments and with the executive team to shape the financial strategy of the organization.
