Our client, a leading architectural and engineering consultancy based in East London , is seeking a skilled BIM Coordinator to implement and manage Building Information Modeling processes across their projects. You will be crucial in ensuring the efficient use of BIM technology, improving collaboration, and enhancing the quality of design and construction documentation. This role is ideal for a technically proficient individual with a deep understanding of BIM workflows and standards. Your expertise will directly contribute to project efficiency and success. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement BIM standards, protocols, and workflows for projects. Coordinate BIM models from various disciplines (architectural, structural, MEP) to ensure clash detection and integration. Provide training and support to project teams on BIM software and best practices. Manage the BIM environment, including project setup, file management, and library content. Conduct quality control checks on BIM models to ensure accuracy and compliance. Facilitate communication and collaboration among project stakeholders using BIM tools. Requirements Proven experience as a BIM Coordinator, BIM Manager, or in a similar BIM-focused role. Strong proficiency with Revit and other BIM-related software (e.g., Navisworks, BIM 360). In-depth understanding of BIM standards (e.g., ISO 19650) and best practices. Experience with architectural, structural, and MEP modeling and coordination. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Familiarity with the South African construction and architectural context is advantageous.
