Accounting Assistant

RODAC Development & Construction LLC is a Wisconsin-based construction and development company dedicated to community enhancement through the development of high-quality places to eat, shop, work and receive care. RODAC specializes in high-end medical facilities, industrial, franchise and specialty retail, commercial buildings and land development. We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounting Assistant to join our team. This position will work closely with our accounting and finance team to support day-to-day accounting functions while also providing general administrative support to the office. The ideal candidate is organized, accurate, comfortable working with numbers, and willing to assist wherever needed in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Responsibilities: Assist with day-to-day accounting functions, including Accounts Payable (A/P), Accounts Receivable (A/R), and customer billing. Process daily deposits and accurately apply receipts to customer accounts. Monitor and organize the accounting department’s email inbox and process vendor invoices in a timely manner. Review and reconcile A/P invoices to ensure accurate payment processing. Assist with reconciling company credit card statements and reviewing transactions for accuracy. Reconcile vendor statements and help resolve discrepancies as needed. Maintain organized accounting records and filing systems. Assist with preparing financial reports and other accounting documentation. Help update and document accounting processes and procedures. Greet customers, vendors, and visitors in a friendly and professional manner. Answer incoming phone calls, take messages, and route information to the appropriate team members. Assist with special projects as needed. Provide general administrative support to other departments as needed. Qualifications: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred. Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices. Previous Accounts Payable and/or Accounts Receivable experience is preferred but not required. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work accurately and maintain confidential information. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word. QuickBooks experience is a plus. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and manage time effectively. Positive, professional attitude and willingness to work collaboratively as part of a team.
