Registered Nurse Emergency Room

Job Summary:


We seek a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse with specialties in Emergency Room (ER) care. The Registered Nurse will provide skilled nursing care, patient assessments, medication administration, treatment planning, and collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary team. This role requires strong communication and collaboration skills to manage patients across adult and pediatric populations effectively. A minimum of 3-4 years of experience and certifications including BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS, and NRP are required. A Massachusetts nursing license or conditional license is necessary.

Responsibilities:

• Provide skilled nursing care in the Emergency Room setting for both adult and pediatric patients.
• Perform patient assessments, administer medications, and develop treatment plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Respond promptly to emergency situations and provide appropriate interventions.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and clinical observations.
• Educate patients and families regarding care plans and discharge instructions.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Active Registered Nurse license in Massachusetts (MA License or Conditional License accepted).
• 3 to 4 years of nursing experience, preferably in Emergency Room or acute care settings.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS, and NRP.
• Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and treatment planning skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with patients and healthcare team.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced emergency care environment.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience caring for both adult and pediatric populations.
• Additional certifications or training relevant to emergency nursing.

Special Considerations:

• Must be able to work in a high-stress, fast-paced emergency room environment.
• May be required to respond to emergency codes and on-call situations.
• Compliance with hospital policies and procedures regarding patient care and safety.

Scheduling:

• Shift work including days, nights, weekends, and holidays as assigned.
• Shift assignments based on departmental needs and staffing requirements.
