Receiving Inspector

Job Description

A manufacturing company is seeking a Receiving Inspector to inspect manufactured parts at machines and in final inspection to make sure parts are being run according to shop floor drawings. Additionally, you will act as floor inspector where you will check and sign-off of identification tags and parts movement per production flows. Work hours are Monday through from Friday 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Job Responsibilities:

• Receive in all fittings and forgings that are delivered, compare packing slip to parts delivered for accuracy, and inspect all fittings per Quality Checklist and print drawings
• Rack parts as needed and run through passivation process, check parts during manufacturing process against drawings, receive and inspect all RGA's, compare parts received to RGA information, and inspects quality of parts
• Perform Copper Sulfate Testing on parts and change filters for wash tanks needed
• Clean and change Passivation Wash each week, pull forgings for outgoing manufacturing processes, and move parts to assembly or shipping as needed
• Maintain Control of Gauges by keeping track of gauges location and each month, pull gauges that need calibrated per pre-setup list
• Communicate with Manufacturing Team Lead regarding operation of equipment, asking questions when necessary, and report all malfunctions and irregularities
• Focus on quality, details, and accuracy in the fast paced, same day shipping environment
• Keep work area clean and orderly; participate in regular cleaning of equipment and workspaces, and maintain a safe working environment

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED
• Must have 2 years Inspection experience, able to use standard industry inspection devices, and have knowledge of inventory processes
• Must have basic blueprint reading skills along with calipers, micrometers, and gaging knowledge
• Must have general computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
• Must have good organizational and communication skills while paying a high attention to detail and quality
• Must have the ability to stay focused on safety and safe operating procedures and learn and retain information
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 30 pounds repeatedly and be comfortable standing for long periods of time
• Must have the ability to function as a member of a team and conduct self positively and professionally with all employees
• Must have a solid work history with no attendance issues
• Must have a valid driver's license
