Shift: Nights, 3x12 (1900–0700). Setting: inpatient behavioral health unit in a hospital, 20 beds with a typical census of 18–20. Unit serves adults; first-time travelers accepted. On weekends, coverage is every other weekend. Locals within a 75-mile radius are not accepted. This assignment involves floating to related units as needed; no on-call requirement.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to adults in inpatient behavioral health/psychiatry, including assessments, monitoring, and interventions
- Administer medications and document in the EPIC charting system; ensure accuracy and timely updates
- Apply de-escalation techniques, crisis intervention, and safety protocols; respond to behavioral crises as needed
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, participate in daily rounds and handoffs, and implement individualized care plans
- Monitor for risk factors such as suicidality, agitation, and aggression; implement appropriate interventions and documentation
- Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment, including observation, documentation, and adherence to unit policies

Requirements
- Active New York RN license in hand (must have to submit)
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in behavioral health or inpatient psychiatry
- BLS certification required
- EPIC charting experience is a hard requirement
- Ability to work nights in an inpatient setting; willingness to float to related units as needed
- COVID-19 vaccine: not required
- First-time travelers accepted; relocations and travel arrangements supported
