Associate or Full Professor (HS Clinical, Clinical X) Director of Fetal Cardiology

Position Overview Associate or Full Professor (HS Clinical, Clinical X) Director of Fetal Cardiology at the University of California, San Diego. Position title: Director of Fetal Cardiology. Salary range: $272,000 – $418,000 per year (base pay). Salary is negotiated annually. Additional compensation may be available if the position includes membership in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan. Salary information: Open date: July 14, 2025. Review date: June 28, 2026. Final date: July 14, 2026. Position Description Lead and expand the fetal cardiology program, including fetal imaging, maternal/family consultations, diagnostic interpretation, and coordinated prenatal care planning. Collaborate with maternal‑fetal medicine, neonatology, cardiothoracic surgery, and other pediatric subspecialties to ensure seamless perinatal care. Lead program development, outreach initiatives, quality improvement efforts, education of trainees, and contribute to research and academic scholarship. Provide clinical and academic leadership for all fetal cardiology services within the Division of Cardiology in the Department of Pediatrics at UC San Diego and Rady Children’s Hospital‑San Diego. Qualifications MD or equivalent. Board‑certified or board‑eligible in Pediatric Cardiology. California medical license or equivalent certification/permit. At least 1 year of post‑fellowship training in Fetal Cardiology. At least 5 years of demonstrated expertise in fetal imaging and prenatal cardiovascular care.
