SURESTAFF is immediately hiring Warehouse Associate for a large, well-known client in Chicago, IL. This position is responsible for picking orders and preparing goods to be moved by placing material on pallets and wrapping. Other duties may include inspecting for damaged goods and recording product location and quantities.SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! All temp-to-hire employees are offered competitive compensation $21/hr as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision). Generous referral bonuses are available upon hire. Available shifts: 7:30am-6:00pm Monday-Thursday

Responsibilities of the Warehouse Associate:

• Picking orders accurately and in a timely manner using a manual pallet jack and stacking full cases on pallets, ensuring damaged cases are accounted for and the required paperwork is completed.
• Picking FIFO must be sustained to correctly pick oldest to newest. Compliance with following proper lot code rotation a must.
• Maintaining a clean and organized warehouse.
• Properly recording open and/or damaged cases and storing properly
• Safely stacking and unstacking goods onto shelves or pallets.
• Moving goods from storage areas to loading areas for transport.
• Consolidating partial pallets for incoming goods and properly labeling for shipment

Required Qualifications of the Warehouse Associate:

• 1 year in a warehouse setting, picking experience a plus.
• Numerical aptitude to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
• Computer literate (Excel and Word), MRP systems a plus.
• Excellent interactive and communication skills (written and verbal).
• Familiar with GMP’s, SQF, USDA or FDA and Safety Standards.
• Able to communicate with other team members and supervisor.
• Ability to efficiently work independently.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills with a sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines.
