The Mental Health Worker is responsible for following established policies and procedures, performs a variety of therapeutic activities as specified by the treatment program and the individual patient treatment plan. Essential job functions include supporting and modeling behaviors consistent with Billings Clinic's mission, vision, values, code of business conduct and service expectations, performing basic nursing care and activities within scope and practice as directed by the licensed nurse, ensuring complete, accurate and timely entry into patient medical record, adhering to Billings Clinic safety standards, policies and practices, utilizing performance improvement principles to assess and improve the quality of patient care, maintaining confidentiality within the treatment team, assisting in managing crisis situations requiring control and restraint of patients, demonstrating collaborative, supportive, and caring behaviors in communication with patients, families, visitors, and interdisciplinary care team, performing clerical duties to maintain unit flow, utilizing electronic applications to support daily staff and patient workflow, and effectively utilizing phone systems.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, preferred training or direct experience of at least two years in the mental health field with demonstrated ability and skills to work therapeutically with patients, CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) Certification within 60 days of hire, and healthcare provider CRP certification at hire.
