DESCRIPTION:


The Data Entry Operator II requires the application of experience and judgment in selecting procedures to be followed, and searching for interpreting, selecting, or coding items to be entered from a variety of document sources. The Data Entry Operator II may perform routine work as described for Data Entry Operator I.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform data entry using standard office equipment and Microsoft Office computer programs.
• Read source documents and properly code for data entry.
• Compile, sort, and verify the accuracy of data before it is entered.
• Compare data with source documents, or re-enter data in verification format to detect errors.
• File and store completed documents in appropriate locations.
• Locate and correct data entry errors or report them to supervisors.
• Maintain logs of activities and completed work.
• Select materials needed to complete work assignments.
• Perform other duties as assigned or directed.

Job Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and/or Experience:

• Must be a United States Citizen.
• High School diploma or General Equivalency Diploma.
• Computer skills; proficiency in various Microsoft Office Suite programs such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• 2-3 years previous data entry experience

Language Skills:

• Must have excellent verbal and written command of the English language, with the ability to read and comprehend written correspondence.
• Able to understand/interpret verbal and written instructions to perform required duties.

General Skills and Abilities:

• Strong organizational skills commensurate with position and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Attention to detail.
