QA Engineer (Automation)

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, develop, and maintain automation test suites according to requirements.
• Analyze test results, localize and report issues, and work with developers to reproduce and resolve defects.
• Create and maintain an automated reporting system and increase test coverage.
• Functionally test new and existing infrastructure components with the platform team.
• Research and evaluate new testing techniques, solutions, and methods.
• Perform manual ad-hoc testing when needed and identify architectural or implementation risks.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of QA experience.
• At least 3 years of test automation experience using Java, TestNG, JUnit, and scripting languages such as Unix shell, Perl, Ruby, or Python.
• Ability to create automation frameworks from scratch for functional, performance, and load testing.
• At least 5 years of experience with Linux, Windows, and Mac, preferably including administration experience.
• Experience with backend automation testing and Selenium RC.
• Knowledge of IP, TCP, UDP, DNS, VPN, proxy technologies, bug tracking, version control, and test case management systems.
• Strong knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, XML, and CSS.
• Knowledge of virtualization technologies including VirtualBox and VMware.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and issue-recognition skills.
