Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | Days | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | 13 Weeks | Expected 4 weekend shifts per schedule

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for both high and low acuity emergency department patients in an 8-bed freestanding ED setting
• Maintain a patient ratio of 4:1
• Perform medication administration and care for critically ill patients
• Collect and process lab specimens as required
• Operate GE equipment and document within a Meditech EMR system
• Work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team including RNs, EMTs, and mid-level providers

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid for practice in Virginia
• Minimum 2 years of emergency department nursing experience
• Required certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, and TNCC
• Demonstrated ability to care for critically ill patients
• Ability to work day shift hours (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) including expected weekend shifts

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification
• Prior travel nursing experience in an emergency department setting
