Medical Assistant | Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) | Part-Time, Benefits Eligible

We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) team! In this position, you will have the opportunity to learn the clinical and clerical pieces of patient care to better support the patient experience.

In this role, you will:

• Perform delegated nursing functions under the supervision of an RN using established procedures, policies, guidelines and standards of care.
• Manually clean and disinfect patient care items and equipment and notify Director of missing or malfunctioning equipment.
• Answer phones, record messages, greet patients and visitors.
• Prepare charts for physician clinics and schedules patient appointments.
• Document and report observations to the nurse or provider; accurately document patient care provided on appropriate hospital forms and within established timeframes.

What You'll Bring/Job Requirements:

• Training or experience as a medical assistant
• Completion of high school degree or equivalent
• 2 years experience in a medical office setting
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Personal computer, data entry, and communication skills
• Acquire American Heart Association BLS in 60 days
