Supporting TaxAct as a remote, seasonal Tax Expert (EA/CPA), the part-time agent will provide expert guidance to customers filing Form 1065 and Form 1120-S, ensuring a positive experience through effective communication and tax advice. Key responsibilities Help customers understand tax rules applicable to their specific filing situations for federal and state returns Apply company policies to troubleshoot and resolve customer inquiries regarding tax advice Conduct tax research to ensure customers receive accurate information and assist with data entry for various tax forms Required qualifications Minimum of 3 years of experience preparing federal and state business tax returns (1065 and/or 1120-S) for at least 20 entities per year Active unrestricted credential as an Enrolled Agent (EA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required Active PTIN (Preparer Tax Identification Number) required Proficient with technology and online tax software, with proven experience in tax research Strong customer service skills and the ability to interact professionally with customers through video and audio tools
