Competitive Intelligence Senior Manager, Obesity

Amgen seeks a Competitive Intelligence Senior Manager to lead CI activities for the Obesity business unit. The role involves translating competitive developments into strategic insights that inform portfolio and business strategy, working cross-functionally with leadership and global teams.
Responsibilities
- Serve as strategic advisor to Obesity leadership on competitive perspective and market developments
- Synthesize complex competitive intelligence into actionable strategic insights and portfolio implications
- Lead intelligence collection and analysis at medical congresses with cross-functional collaboration
- Manage primary and secondary data sources and vendor relationships for project delivery
- Organize and facilitate strategic competitive simulations and exercises for stakeholder planning
Requirements
- Doctorate degree and 2 years CI or similar experience, OR equivalent education-experience combinations
- Advanced degree (PhD/MS/MBA) with life sciences and business focus preferred
- Experience in life science consulting, obesity, or metabolic conditions
- Demonstrated strategic thinking and data analysis capabilities for business decisions
- Excellent presentation and communication skills for diverse audiences
- Project management skills to handle multiple simultaneous initiatives
- Strong understanding of obesity market dynamics and competitive landscape
