Job Title: ICU RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 4 or 5 years ICU experience License: Active state licensure required Certifications: BLS and ACLS AHA certifications required Must-Have: Must be willing to float to medical surgical unit and occasionally to emergency room. Must be aware that this ICU is more of a PCU/Stepdown unit. Description: ICU RN needed for night shifts, 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., three shifts per week. ASAP start is required. Patient acuity is low, and the nurse may need to float to Telemetry if there are no ICU patients. Patient types include GI, DKA, chest pain, CHF, and pneumonia. Minimal ventilator management is expected. This assignment is suitable for someone with modest ICU experience. The unit is designed for close monitoring of seriously ill or recovering patients. Housing is limited in the area, and travelers might need to look in nearby locations for availability.
