About the Position

Job Title: CT Technologist Profession: CT Technologist (Computed Tomography) Specialty: CT Scan Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 10 Hours Nights Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Not specified Certifications: ARRT Certification, BLS Certification Must-Have: Siemens experience preferred Good patient care skills Procedural experience Description: Unit Notes: Radiology - CT (Computed Tomography) Certification Requirements: ARRT Certified BLS Certified Minimum of 1 year experience required Prior travel experience preferred but not required Scanners used include Siemens Drive, Siemens Force, and Cannon Prime SP. Staff will only work at the main campus. Common types of imaging and studies performed include CT scans of all body parts, pediatrics, cardiac scans, and procedures such as biopsies, drains, and ablations. Average number of scans/studies performed per shift is between 3 to 40. Experience with EMR and PACS software is preferred but not required; systems in use include EPIC and McKesson. Department specific equipment includes Siemens and Cannon. A radiology supervisor or lead tech is present on each shift. No Registered Radiology Assistants are used; a CNA is available as a department assistant. A radiologist is in-house. Technologists will need to start IVs as applicable to the department. Shifts are assigned, and specific shift requests are not accepted. Weekend coverage is required per the set schedule. Client holiday coverage is required as needed unless otherwise agreed upon. On-call duties may be available if agreed upon. Scrub color is blue, and scrubs are provided. Charting system in use is EPIC. BSN is not required. No specific trauma level is indicated. Care setting is acute. Division is allied health. Shift notes indicate a rotation of shifts for the first half of the contract followed by a different schedule for the latter half. Required Certifications include ARRT (CT) and BLS Certification.
