Project Architect

Job Description

We are looking for a Project Architect to join our team and contribute to a wide range of projects. This role provides an exciting opportunity to work on both new construction and existing building investigations, with a focus on enhancing building enclosure performance. Responsibilities

• Conduct field investigations and assessments of building enclosures, including roofs, walls, fenestration, and foundations.
• Analyze and interpret data to identify performance issues and potential solutions.
• Prepare detailed reports and documentation, including repair recommendations and cost estimates.
• Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to develop and implement repair strategies.
• Provide technical support and guidance to clients throughout the project lifecycle.
• Stay updated with industry trends, codes, and regulations related to building performance and sustainability.
• Assist in the development of project scopes, budgets, and timelines.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications and quality standards.
• Liaise with clients, architects, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and expectations.
• Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or a related field.
• Professional registration as an Architect (RA) or the ability to obtain registration within a specified timeframe.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in architectural practice, with a focus on building performance and investigations.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, standards, and regulations related to building enclosures.
• Proficiency in architectural software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant design tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively.
• Analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for field work as required.
• Strong organizational skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

As a member of our team, you'll join licensed architects and engineers delivering services for new construction and existing facilities including building enclosure consulting and testing, facility asset management, due diligence, ADA and accessibility consulting, facility condition assessments, and more. Be it one parking lot or a 100-building portfolio, we create sustainable options for our clients' buildings, assess and extend service life where applicable, increase performance, and help them maximize the value of their capital expenditures.
